The End Of The Journey

Spring, 1806

Dear Mr. Jefferson,

The journey was the Corps at there best. The journey was america at its best. The reason i say that the corps were at there best was because they helped discover an America that no European man has ever seen before. Each individuel played a key role on the journey such as, Captain Clark made maps for anyone else that disides to come west, Sacagawea helped us discover the routes that we need to get to the ocean, and the Shoshones Indians gave us horses to cross The Rocky Mountains which would have been impassable without.

I said America at its best because in the new land we found there were animals, indians, food, plants, and so much beautiful, unspoiled open space. And also its america at its best because this journey enbodies the american spirit of discovery. Like our four fathers who crossed the Atlantic Ocean to open new opportunites in this country, so this corps has paved the way for many generations to come.

Signed, Jessica Good

PS. for my weekly labors, discoveries... for all my endeavors have brought to this journey, 9 believe 9 should be paid the grade of a B+.

  1. Jessica, thank you for your hard work all the way west. You could always be counted upon to do more than your fair share and to treat the Corps and the native Americans we met with the highest respect. We couldn't have made it west and all the way to the dragon without you and your spirit.

Good job with your final entry. You didn't just speak to America at its best or the Corps at its best. You spoke to both. And you spoke with detail. Great job.

Thank you for being such an integral part of your class. Have an awesome summer of discovery and recreation. I look forward to journeying with you around the world come September.

    Love,

    (Captain) John
